2023:
TRI Distinction is excited to participate in the Alaska Black Business Expo: Holiday Bazaar. The event will feature over 30 vendors selling a variety of products.
TRI Distinction is invited to speak as panelists on The 49th State Women's Forum: Unfinished Business- Ladies Who Launch Panel. The premier gathering of mothers, business women, educators, law makers, entrepreneurs, activists, community champions and thought leaders will enjoy various thought-provoking conversations about topics affecting women.
TRI Distinction is honored to be recognized as Anchorage Daily News: Best of Alaska 2023 PLATINUM (1st place Winner) for Local Jewelry Store! Earning this award for the second year is a great accomplishment because the award is based on votes by customers, supporters, community members, and followers. TRI Distinction will support the Anchorage Museum Gala: Upcycled in November by donating a pair of earrings we made using upcycled jeans. The earrings will be auctioned and proceeds will support our local museum and programs.
TRI Distinction is excited to participate in the Shopping Queens: Sip, Shop & Socialize. The event will feature vendors selling a variety of clothing, shoes, boots, bags, jewelry, and accessories. This will kick off our fall pop up season, stop by to see us!
Co-Owner Camai was a guest on WGU Believe Owls Podcast: Owl Insight Let's Hoot. She was invited to speak for National Small Black Business Month (August). Camai shared experiences about entrepreneurship, being a women owned business, and challenges in business.
TRI Distinction celebrated Juneteenth by participating WGU Believe Owls (formerly Ebony Owls): Juneteenth Buy Black online event. Co-Owner Camai presented about TRI Distinction and "Why buying black impacts us all".
Wear Red with TRI Distinction to support National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIW). May 5, 2023 is MMIW Day to raise awareness for the MMIW cause and fight against the injustice that's happening to indigenous women and their families every day.

TRI Distinction will participate in the Bettye Davis African American Health & Equity Annual Summit on February 18, 2023 at Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School. We will have a pop-up booth, stop by to see us!
The Summit provides a forum for the Black community to educate policy makers and the public about not just the issues facing BIPOC people but also the solutions we want to see. The Summit addresses critical issues of public policy in the areas of economics, justice, education, and health. It is the principal gathering place, idea generator, and voice for the Black community in Alaska. You don’t want to miss it!
TRI Distinction will participate in Abraham Lincoln High School's Annual Black Heritage Month Celebration on February 10, 2023 as a Guest Speaker. This programming is developed by students and teachers that serve on a committee to plan events, activities and experiences that educate our community on the contributions of those of African descent. One of the core programming elements this year includes our Guest Speaker Series, which includes inviting community leaders to come in and have class discussions and workshops related to our priority topics for this year, which include: Fashion, Food, Language, Dance, Historical Events, Community Activism, and Music. TRI Distinction will present to two class periods on the topics of Fashion and Entrepreneurship.

TRI Distinction is happy to announce our participation in Anchorage reMADE Summer Markets. We chose this market because they support resale, recycling, and renewing lives. The monthly Pop Up Shop is our first time selling in-person, and we are excited!
